Power conditioning and stable power delivery starts with proper grounding.  Our basic design principles build off a properly grounded system to provide stable, reliable power for any project.  Additional power quality measures, such as Transient Voltage Surge Suppression devices and Lightning Protection Systems add protective capabilities, and power conditioning units can be incorporated into projects to suit the needs and budget of each design.

Energy efficient design has always been, and will continue to be, a cornerstone of our business philosophy. We utilize the latest technology to provide designs which meet and exceed energy code requirements. This technology includes energy efficient lighting and alternative energy generation systems such solar power. These systems are fully integrated and engineered in accordance with the client’s vision and needs.

LIFE SAFETY SYSTEMS

We work directly with local authorities to ensure alarm and emergency lighting systems comply with national and local Life Safety codes. By utilizing this collaborative process, we keep projects within budget and on-schedule while building a reliable, compliant safety system. We are able to provide everything from emergency lighting systems, to fire alarm and safety systems, all in a compliant, efficient manner.

Generator Power Integration

We provide power generator designs for a wide range of new construction and retrofit projects.  This includes the usage of power generators as emergency backup systems, stand-by or supplemental units, or even primary power sources in remote locations.  Due to the variety of specific industry requirements (e.g. hospitals, residential complexes, etc.), we take a specific approach in each situation to address client concerns and requirements.

SITE ELECTRICAL

We focus on building “Today’s Infrastructure” for “Tomorrow’s Needs”.  Our site electrical designs include close coordination with Owners/Developers and project Architects.  By working closely with our clients, we are able to determine the project’s current requirements and also provide for potential future growth. This creates a flexible approach that enhances the overall design of a project while minimizing costs.

SURVEYS & ASSESSMENTS

We provide on-site visual surveys of existing electrical power systems, lighting systems, alarm systems, and more.  Our findings are then compared against applicable code standards to identify existing code violations, inoperative or failing equipment, insufficient coverage of emergency systems, or inadequate emergency lighting and fire alarm devices.  Recommended solutions can be provided alongside the findings to address client needs and aid decisions.

Standalone Photometrics

We provide site lighting photometric calculations as a key component in all of our site lighting design services. However, should you require information and photometric calculations to meet strict compliance requirements with local, state, or other authorities, we can provide these services on a standalone or as-needed basis. All photometrics will be assembled and prepared for submittal with site design package as needed .

Short Circuit, ArcFlash and Time Current Curve (TCC) Coordination

Arc Flash Hazard Analysis has become increasingly recognized as a necessity in determining the potential hazard that exists in an electrical system and the magnitude of the energy present at the points arc flashes could occur. This information is posted on electrical equipment to alert electrical workers of the proper protective equipment to use when working on the electrical equipment.

We provide Arc Flash, Voltage Drop, Fault Current, and Coordination studies for all types of commercial properties. These studies can be provided individually, as a comprehensive single study, or as part of an electrical design plan set. Independent studies can be performed for existing buildings regardless of any remodeling or expansion projects, and would include on-site information collection and assessment.
